Hedley-on-the-Hill is a quiet village overlooking both the Tyne and Derwent Valleys. The village pub; The Feathers Inn, is a multi-award winning eaterie, voted County Dining Pub of the Year an astonishing 9 times and a top ten restaurant in a recent Telegraph restaurant list. The pretty, historic towns of Hexham and Corbridge are just a short drive away with lots of lovely tea rooms and boutiques to explore. Newcastle upon Tyne; just 12 miles away, has a fabulous choice of history, culture, art and shopping. There are fantastic walks in the area; many right from the front door. Sports enthusiasts are well catered for with championship golf courses within just a few miles, lots of fantastic cycle routes close by and even a gliding club just outside the village!
