Off Grid Allery Bank - Private Fishing and Woodland


Wonderful, stonebuilt off-grid Allery Bank is nestled into 11 idyllic acres of private land, in the Northumberland National Park. The sitting and living rooms both have inglenook fireplaces, each housing a multi fuel wood burning stove – plenty of room to hang your Christmas stockings.

This beautifully renovated, beamed cottage has a real country feel, with its nearest neighbour two miles hence. The contemporary, flagstoned kitchen has a multi fuel range for cosy Christmas dining. The walled garden is perfect for dogs and toddling children. Enjoy a Boxing Day countryside walk, pure air, rich and varied birdsong and dark skies in this supremely natural spot

Around 5 acres of private land surround the cottage and a further 6 acres is accessed by the picturesque ford. Unwind by the burn (fishing rights available) and cosy up by the fires at nights.

Christmas in Hexham House Cottage, in Pretty Wark



With its beautifully presented interior and wonderful location in the pretty village of Wark, Hexham House Cottage, sleeping up to 3, is the perfect place to spend a cosy Christmas break! Spend your days exploring Kielder Forest and the Northumberland National Park, browse the boutiques and sweet tea rooms of local historic towns and enjoy riverside walks, right from the door. Snuggle by the wood burning stove or dine in Hotel of the Year 2017 The Battlesteads, a 2 minute walk away.


Hexham House Cottage is free from 17th to 28th December. 7 nights from 21st Dec, £475 for the week, 1 kingsize bedroom

Hareshaw Linn, by the Waterfall


Hareshaw Linn Cottage is a charming character cottage in the heart of picture postcard Bellingham, surrounded by stunning views.  Bellingham has shops, a hotel with swimming pool, cafes and pubs, and is the gateway to Kielder water and Forest Park. The cottage is also on the doorstep of the beautiful 30ft Hareshaw Linn waterfall.


Hareshaw Linn is available 10th-21st Dec (min 2 nights) £75 a night, 1 double, sleeps 2


Madera Cottage in Stunning Hedley on the Hill


Beautiful Madera Cottage, 2 double beds, is in the heart of pretty village, Hedley-on-the Hill. With its beamed ceilings, wood burning stove, Aga oven and romantic bedrooms, this would be a very cosy December break. The village pub, The Feathers Inn, is a multi-award winning eaterie and historic Hexham and Corbridge are a short drive away. There are fantastic walks in the area, many right from the front door, and stunning views from the village.

Greenchesters, Otterburn, Private Woodland


Idyllic period country house Greenchesters has enchanting views across rolling fields and valleys and offers a wonderful space for families or friends looking to relish a December country break in the stunning Northumberland National Park. The cottage is perfectly located for walkers, animal lovers, artists and dark sky enthusiasts. The beamed sitting room has a magnificent inglenook fireplace and antiques sit alongside satellite tv and WiFi.  The wonderful farmhouse kitchen is the perfect place for festive dining, with the warming oil fired Range oven at its heart. 


Beautiful gardens boast enclosed lawns and over 4 acres of magical, private woodland. Spot deer, squirrels and rabbits and let the morning chorus wake you to December days. Otterburn is steeped in history, the site of the famous 1388 victory of the Scots over the English, nestled close to the banks of the River Rede, hills and moors.
